Thank you so much for your interest in helping at the 2016 Spring Dinner and Auction Event!

Our Spring Dinner and Auction raises money to support programs at Mount Rainier, North Cascades National Parks. Your help ensures that the event will be beautiful, organized - as well as make a difference in the parks we all love!

All of our positions are two to four hour shifts, and will take place between 12:00pm and 9:00pm on April 23rd, 2016, at the Renton Pavilion.

You will be contacted within 72 hours of submitting your request by a representative of Washington's National Park Fund.

 

Volunteer Needs, Spring Dinner and Auction 2016


Set-up Volunteers 12:00 – 4:00pm, Six Volunteers Needed

Set-up volunteers need to work quickly and in teams to set up tables and chairs, hang decorations and signs, arrange items for the silent auction, set-up bar stations, registration table, and equipment. Volunteers must be able to lift heavy objects, work collaboratively and pay attention to detail.

 

Heads and Tails Ticket Sellers 4:45 – 7:15pm, Two Volunteers Needed

Circulate among guests, explain the rules of the game and encourage them to participate. Outgoing engaging personalities needed who also possess strong communication skills.

 

Live Auction Spotters 7:30 – 9:30pm, Seven Volunteers Needed

A Live Auction Spotter works the main floor to watch for bidders during the live auction. This job function is highly important since a large amount of money is made from the live auction.  Serving as a live auction spotter can be very fun as well, since the live auction generates a lot of excitement when bidding becomes high and competitive! You will be right in the middle of all the action!  Outgoing volunteers needed who can follow instruction and remain on their feet and alert for at least two hours.

 

Auctioneer Runners 7:30 – 9:30pm, Two Volunteers Needed

During the auction Live Auction and Fund a Need Portion of the evening, these volunteers run the completed Live Bid sheets to the checkout area.

 

Silent Auction Pack-up Crew 7:30 – 9:30pm, Six Volunteers Needed

This position helps neatly package the silent auction items and move them to the check-out station. They will also assist in moving the tables and labeling the purchased auction items. Detail oriented volunteers needed who can lift heavy objects.

 

Auction Clean-up Crew 9:30 – 10:30pm, Six Volunteers Needed

Volunteers needed who can quickly and efficiently clean up the facility: fold up tables, carry out the trash, stack chairs, remove decorations, sweep up, and load auction equipment and supplies into cars to return to the office. Volunteers will need to be able to work quickly and lift heavy items.
